The certificate and trainer courses are open to trainers at all stages of development. The primary goal of these courses is to broaden trainers' knowledge in methodologies best for improving fitness. The Level 1 Certificate Course serves as the cornerstone for CrossFit methodology and movement, and the Level 2 Certificate Course is dedicated to improving a trainer's ability to coach others in functional movements. Specialty courses taught by subject-matter experts provide avenues for participants to explore certain modalities and topics in detail. CrossFit trainers are encouraged to dedicate themselves to practical application of the concepts presented at these courses and results-based programming and training.
Those meeting the credential requirements earn the course specific trainer designation (e.g., CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, CrossFit Aerobic Capacity Certificate).
